- Ubuntu is a South African Zulu word meaning “I am because we are”. Ubuntu conceptualizes the common humanity we all share; a person is a person through other people.
- A collaboration between Roots Community Health Center and Ujima Adult & Family Services, Ubuntu Wellness Center is a welcoming space for all people in the African community. Ubuntu Wellness encourages engagement, participation, and creates activities and events that strengthens community wellness. Wellness is an important aspect of health and must be taken care of. The purpose of this center is to provide activities and spread togetherness using African centered principles.
- Services provided will include early learning, mental health, spiritual healing, health wellness, and intergenerational activities.
